This post + that post = a little clarity

So, the post about how my childhood shaped me.
And
The post where I stop whining.
Result:  Yes it shaped me, but here I am and I am fine in this shape.
This shape is me, it is good,
I am fine.

Stop Whining Post #1

I think changing the title of my blog has helped.
Why?

Reason #1
It used to be called "Not 40, Not Yet."  As if becoming 40 years old was something I could avoid.
Something I should avoid.  What's the alternative?
I got here, I am alive and very comfortable.  In fact, if you took every person who has ever lived on the earth, gave them a rating based on quality of life, I would have to be in the very, very, very, infinitely very top.  By top I mean top percent of comfortable people who have ever, ever lived on earth.
Because a lot of people have lived on earth.
Most of those people have not had any of the luxuries I have.
My biggest complaint right now?
My feet are a little cold and my skin is a little dry.
That's it.
That's my biggest problem.
If you asked my husband what his biggest problem is right now, it would probably be that he is hungry and he has to pay taxes this year.
That's it.
Oh no!!  I can't turn 40!  Well I am lucky I did.  Right, child leprosy victim in 1st century A.D.??

Reason #2
I actually think I did say "good-bye."
So maybe after awhile I should rename this blog "Hello, more monthly income" or "Hello peaceful world."  The second one sounds better from a moral standpoint, I know, but if there is any possibility of results coming from changing the name of the blog, the first one is much more plausible.

Stuff I gotta do after watching 10 twenty-minute "Ted Talks"

1--Raise my arms above my head while clenching my fists.
2--Put my hands on my hips and spread my feet apart when talking to people.
3--Tell people how much I appreciate them.
4--Go outside more.

5--Move around more.

Seems like there was more...
No, there was nothing like "spend more time with your kids" because that will come if you actually do this other stuff...
Wait, I thought of another one-

6--Give your brain a break and meditate for 10 minutes a day.

How I escape

My escapes:

  1. online shopping
  2. netflix
  3. games

not too much variety, but all pretty effective.

Activity that results in the deepest, most thorough escape:  Netflix and it’s hour long dramas.  In fact, I am resisting the urge to watch right now.  But, the problem is that with headphones, I pretty much cut off the rest of the household.

Cutting off the household, is, of course, wrong and goes against how I want to interact in the family.

Why do I escape?

  1. boredom
  2. overwhelmed
  3. depressed

Even if you demand love from a limited number of people, you cannot usually win the approval of all of them. Some, because of their own limitations, will have little ability to love anyone. Others will disapprove of you for reasons entirely beyond your control. Still others will despise you forever because of some prejudice against you.
